“I have found the most freedom of expression in oil paint and have fallen in love with painting with palette knives in the past few years. I can’t get enough of exploring changes in texture and density of paint and what it does to color.”

Sewing without Knowing: Anyone Can Make a Bag with Sheryl
Sewing without Knowing: Anyone Can Make a Bag with Sheryl
April 18, 2026
1pm to 5pm
In this fun session in a beautiful setting, beginning sewists will learn how to create a basic tote bag using limited knowledge of sewing machines and fabrics. Taught by Sheryl Jefferies, who made and donated over 1,600 masks during the early months of the pandemic, this is a great adventure for those who don’t know if they would enjoy sewing but would like to try.
Come for the fun and leave with a bag you made!
Class is limited to five students. Adults only, please. The only thing you need to bring is your enthusiasm. If you’ve never sewn before, this is a great workshop for you!
Sewing machines are provided for use.
All materials and tools are provided. Scroll through the photos to see the six fabrics we will be choosing from.
Ending time is approximate and dependent on individual work pace.
[We do not offer refunds on workshop registrations, but for this one, if for any reason you cannot make your bag, Sheryl will make it for you!]
